Josh Gallman, from Gaffney, SC, was the wire-to-wire winner of the 2009 Palmetto Amateur. edging Scott Strohmeyer, from Auburn, AL by one shot. After being in the lead in each of the first three rounds, Gallman shot 73 in the last round and finished the tournament at two under par. Four contestants tied for third at even par, Scott Roudebush, from Austin, TX, Zack Sucher, from Mobile, AL, Logan Blondell, from Lakeland, FL and Jeff Knox, of Augusta, GA, who was also the winner of the Mid Am division. the Mid Am runner-up was Josh Gregory, coach of the Augusta State Golf Team.
